2026 Reemployment Support Consulting Round 5: Apply by August 21

2026 corporate reemployment support consulting round 5

Korean employers that must provide reemployment support—or want to introduce or improve such a program—can apply for Round 5 of the 2026 Corporate Reemployment Support Consulting Program. A specialist consulting provider helps diagnose the current situation and design the system, operating process, and performance-management framework.

Round 5 schedule

  • Applications: July 27-August 21, 2026
  • Selection notice: Scheduled for August 27
  • Consulting provider assignment: Scheduled for August 28
  • Consulting period: August 31-November 20
  • Program operator: Korea Labor Foundation

The schedule may change depending on program operations.

Who can apply?

The program covers employers subject to Korea’s mandatory reemployment-support requirement and companies that voluntarily want to introduce or improve the system. Key applicant groups include:

  • Employers with 100-999 workers that want to introduce a reemployment-support program
  • Employers with 1,000 or more workers that are subject to the mandatory requirement
  • New joint applications by parent companies, contractors, suppliers, or other related companies
  • Joint applications by SMEs and mid-sized companies in industrial complexes

Basic and advanced consulting

Basic consulting is designed mainly for employers without implementation experience. It covers awareness, introduction and operating structures, and a performance-evaluation framework.

Advanced consulting is intended mainly for employers with experience. It diagnoses improvement needs, strengthens staff capability, upgrades operations, and reviews performance management by service type.

How to apply

Single employer

Apply online through the Korea Labor Foundation’s corporate consulting page by selecting the application button at the bottom.

  • Corporate consulting application bearing the company seal
  • Copy of business registration
  • Employment-insurance payment certificate issued within one month before application
  • For employers with fewer than 300 workers, evidence of the previous year’s monthly insured-worker counts

Joint application

Related companies or industrial-complex participants should submit the designated joint-consulting form to newstart@nosa.or.kr.

Exclusions and checks

National and local administrative bodies and education offices are not eligible. Employers publicly listed for wage arrears during the past three years, and companies publicly identified for serious industrial accidents or accident records, may also be excluded. Applicants should confirm the complete Round 5 criteria and employment-insurance payment status before applying.

Important notes

This is organizational consulting, not a cash payment to employees preparing to leave the company. Selected employers must cooperate with the assigned provider’s schedule and provide the information needed for diagnosis and program design.

Practical tip

Prepare data on expected retirees, existing career-transition programs, responsible staff, budget, and past outcomes. This gives the consultant a clearer starting point for a workable implementation plan.

2026 Food Hygiene Rating Support: Free On-Site Consulting, Apply by September 30

2026 free food hygiene rating support for Korean restaurants

Restaurants preparing for Korea’s food hygiene rating assessment can receive free, tailored technical support from the Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Services in 2026. The program covers 2,000 eligible restaurants and offers training, an on-site hygiene review, and practical materials such as management logs and notices.

Program summary

  • Eligible business types: General restaurants, snack or café-style restaurants, and bakeries that meet at least one program condition
  • Scale: 2,000 establishments nationwide
  • Cost: Free
  • Application deadline: September 30, 2026
  • Program period: Through December 2026, subject to operational changes

Who can apply?

Eligible venues include model restaurants, century stores, Michelin- or Blue Ribbon-listed restaurants; establishments in designated K-food, tourism, or market areas; venues no larger than 200 square meters; delivery restaurants or venues in popular apartment retail areas and markets; and restaurants located in frequently visited multipurpose facilities such as retail stores.

Priority may be given to owners who agree to apply for the food hygiene rating assessment within 2026 after receiving support and not abandon the assessment midway. Small operators handling menu items that need stronger hygiene management may receive intensive consulting. Businesses outside the three listed restaurant license categories should confirm eligibility with their regional office.

What support is provided?

  • Training on the rating system, detailed criteria, and common deficiencies
  • An on-site visit with business-specific hygiene guidance
  • Management logs, notices, and other assessment-preparation materials
  • For selected small or older operators, intensive help from the application form through designation

How to apply

Applications are accepted by fax, mail, in person, or online. Offline contacts differ by region.

  1. Visit the Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation and Services website.
  2. Open the HACCP Business Support System.
  3. Select Food Safety Establishment Management (Restaurants) and submit the technical-support application.

Contact

Seoul regional office: +82-2-860-6900. Applicants elsewhere should use the regional contact listed in the official notice.

Important notes

Technical support does not automatically grant a hygiene rating. The restaurant must separately apply for assessment and satisfy the criteria. The schedule may change or close based on the 2,000-site target and operating conditions, so verify availability before applying.

Practical tip

Prepare refrigerator and freezer temperature logs, ingredient-storage records, utensil-separation practices, handwashing procedures, and cleaning and sanitation logs before the visit.

2026 Voluntary Environmental Disclosure Support for SMEs: Two On-Site Consultations, Apply by August 31

2026 voluntary environmental disclosure support for Korean SMEs

Korean SMEs and mid-sized companies that need help organizing environmental data can apply for the third 2026 intake of the Voluntary Environmental Information Disclosure Support Program. The Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI) plans to accept about 15 companies on a first-come basis and provides training, two on-site consultations, registration support, and assistance during verification.

Program at a glance

  • Eligible applicants: Korean SMEs and mid-sized companies that are not legally required to disclose environmental information in 2026
  • Intake: About 15 companies, accepted in application order
  • Support: Training, two on-site consultations, data registration, verification, and disclosure assistance
  • Application period: July 22-August 31, 2026; applications may close early when the intake is filled
  • Application channel: Online through Korea’s Environmental Information Disclosure System

Who is eligible?

The program is for SMEs and mid-sized companies that are not mandatory disclosure entities under Article 16-8 of Korea’s Environmental Technology and Industry Support Act for the current year. An applying corporation is generally expected to include its affiliated business sites in the disclosure.

An affiliated site may be excluded when its greenhouse-gas emissions are below 3,000 tCO2eq and its energy use is below 55 TJ. Companies already subject to mandatory environmental disclosure are not eligible for this voluntary program. Companies whose main business is ESG consulting also cannot apply.

What support is provided?

  • An introduction to the disclosure framework and participant training
  • Help defining the corporation’s organizational boundary, including sites and facilities
  • Two one-to-one on-site consultations tailored to company-specific registration issues
  • Guidance on calculating required items such as water and energy use and waste generation
  • Help collecting and consolidating data, registering it in the system, and responding to document verification and correction requests

This is not a cash grant. It is hands-on technical and administrative support designed to help a company build a reliable environmental data and disclosure process.

How to apply

  1. Visit the Environmental Information Disclosure System.
  2. Select the application option for voluntary environmental information disclosure registration support.
  3. Submit the participation application, business registration certificate, SME or mid-sized company certificate, and personal-information consent form online.

If another company recommends the applicant, the recommending company and contact details must also be entered on page 2 of the relevant forms.

What happens after selection?

Participants enter the required disclosure items, prepare supporting evidence, attend training and on-site consultations, and respond to correction or supplementation requests during document verification. KEITI and its contractor support the process through registration, verification, and publication.

Important notes

Although the stated deadline is August 31, the intake is limited to about 15 companies and may close early. Confirm that applications remain open on the official notice before preparing a submission. The submitted environmental figures may be reviewed and disclosed, so applicants should retain supporting records and define the corporation and site boundary carefully.

Practical tip

Before the first consultation, organize the latest annual electricity, fuel, water, and waste records by business site and appoint an internal environmental-data contact. This will make the on-site sessions more productive.

2026 Overseas Exhibition Support for Middle East-Affected SMEs: Apply by August 31

Overseas exhibition support for Middle East-affected SMEs

Korea’s 2026 Overseas Exhibition Individual Participation Support Program for Middle East-Affected Companies is accepting applications. Managed by the Korea Federation of SMEs (KBIZ), the program is intended to help eligible SMEs pursue overseas buyers through individually selected trade exhibitions.

Key dates and program facts

  • Program: 2026 Overseas Exhibition Individual Participation Support for Middle East-Affected Companies
  • Managing organization: Korea Federation of SMEs (KBIZ)
  • Opening date: July 27, 2026
  • Deadline: August 31, 2026, on the program-specific SME Overseas Exhibition Portal listing
  • Support format: Individual participation in overseas exhibitions
  • Status: Recruiting as of August 2, 2026

There is a deadline discrepancy. The SME24 policy page displays an application period through December 31, 2026, while the program-specific listing on the SME Overseas Exhibition Portal displays August 31. Applicants should work to the earlier August 31 date and check the live application page and attached notice immediately before submission.

Who should review the program

The program may be relevant to Korean SMEs facing export, transaction or logistics disruption connected with Middle Eastern markets and seeking replacement or expanded overseas sales channels. The exact damage test, SME qualification, eligible exhibition scope and restrictions on overlapping subsidies must be checked in the attached official notice. The program title alone does not establish eligibility.

Documents to prepare

  1. Valid SME certification and business registration documents
  2. Evidence of Middle East-related disruption, such as export records, contracts, cancellation notices or shipping-delay records
  3. Official information and cost quotations for the intended overseas exhibition
  4. A participation plan covering target buyers, meeting goals and post-show sales activity
  5. Information on any other public support covering the same costs

How to apply

Search for the program name in the business application section of the SME Overseas Exhibition Portal, sign in, and open the program-specific application. Review the current deadline and attachments, enter the company, damage, exhibition and participation-plan information, and upload the required evidence. Save the submission confirmation and application number.

How to make the application stronger

Describe the disruption with verifiable dates, transactions and amounts rather than relying on a general statement that sales declined. Explain why the selected exhibition matches the product and target market, identify prospective buyers where possible, and set out a concrete follow-up plan after the event.

Confirm the funding cap and eligible costs in the notice

The public list view does not expose a reliable funding ceiling or detailed eligible-cost table. Applicants must confirm whether booth rental, construction, freight, interpretation or other expenses qualify, as well as any company contribution and reimbursement rules, in this program’s own notice and application screen. Funding figures from similar regional programs should not be assumed to apply.

Contact and official sources

The portal lists the KBIZ International Trade Office at +82-2-2124-3296 and intlteam@kbiz.or.kr.

This article was prepared from official pages available on August 2, 2026. Eligibility, covered expenses, documents and dates may change; verify the latest notice before applying.
